I'm a writer. It's just what I do. I keep a notebook on me at all times because I just have to write. The notes I take in class are often interrupted by random outbursts of emotions that I just can't keep inside. Writing is catharsis and it has been practically since I learned the alphabet.
I write a little bit of everything because I read a little bit of everything. Long ago, I wrote fan fiction and I've recently rediscovered my love of it. I write stories about the bands that I love, mostly just Hanson. They were one of the first bands that I truly fell in love with and their music has continued to inspire my writing for nearly a decade.
So that's what you'll find here. Drabbles, short stories, long stories, nearly all of it in some way related to Hanson. If you don't enjoy that, sorry. If you do, I hope you come back to read more and leave me lots and lots of lovely comments! You can email me, sign the guestbook or check out my writing journal for more timely updates that you can comment on. Either way, I want to know that you are reading and enjoying what I write.
There have also been a few story updates here and there during my accidental silence. Love and Other.. and Untold were both updated in the fall. If we're friends on LiveJournal, you've gotten a sneak preview of What Didn't Happen, and it will soon be posted here, too.
I also posted a few new short stories. A few were for challenges: People Call us Renegades was my entry in Taking The Leap; Fearful Symmetry and The Legend of Scary Mary were written for Trick or Treat 2011. The other, In Like A Substitute was just for (slashy) fun.
I've got a few other challenge entries coming up soon, and I hope to have some more updates to my current stories. One of my new years resolutions is to finish stories. So you'll have more to read, and eventually some new stuff, as well. Exciting, I hope?
With this update, there is more to see than just this new layout. I've also done some cleanup on the Long Stories section. That means new banners for some stories & series, more accurate descriptions of each story, some additions to the Coming Soon page, and a section for whole series. It's all done in the hopes that you guys can better find what you're looking to read.
Also, I've organized all my Silk Scarves stories together as a series with their own page. Those are one particular universe of Zaylor stories that I've written and I just had a sort of epiphany that it was stupid not to put them all together.
The Sweetest Downfall series has been arranged similarly. I loved the previous layout, but it wasn't all that easy to read. So there is now a sort of splash page for the entire series, with individual sites for the long stories -- although one of them is still yet to be posted.
I think that's everything! I've done a lot so it's possible I've left a few things out.
